Why LPs should see NAV and outcomes together, in the same send.
Harbor opened NAV on Thursday and the occupancy appendix the following Tuesday. Two inboxes. Two cutoffs. One LP call where nobody could point at a single file. Dual reporting is the decision to stop that split: same cutoff, same send, two number sets that can be read together. Moko runs that close on Dual Ledger. We do not originate the occupancy, kWh, or jobs. We lock each scorecard line to a named source file your deal team already keeps, then we refuse to ship a line that will not tie.
IR spends close week stitching capital accounts to a workbook the deal team kept for units, kWh, or jobs. The pack goes out late, or the scorecard lags a quarter. LPs notice the gap even when they do not say so on the call. They compare NAV share to occupied units. They compare unfunded to loans funded. They ask why the appendix cutoff is two days later than books. Dual Ledger is built so that question never needs a heroic night. Financials and the verified scorecard leave in one send. If a line will not tie, it is absent. Your GP can still discuss the gap. We will not invent a number so the table looks complete. Email the last split pack to support@mokofund.com if you want that stitch named before the next close.
If a scorecard line cannot be tied to a named source file in that close, it stays off the pack. Estimates do not get a stamp. A missing month stays blank. Your deal team owns the underlying data. Moko verifies it against those files and ships it with NAV, capital accounts, and the call register if the period had activity. Dual Ledger is the folder, not a second vendor. Counsel still owns filings. The auditor still owns the opinion. You still sign notices. We will not sit in those seats. If your metrics live in five workbooks with no owner, the first Dual Ledger close will be slower. That is the honest intake, and it is cheaper than another year of Tuesday appendices.
This is not a promise of returns. It is not a replacement for fund counsel, the auditor, or a rating. Dual reporting is an admin close: NAV, capital accounts, and a verified outcome sheet in one package. Moko will assemble filing exhibits counsel asks for. Counsel files. If you want one firm to be counsel, auditor, and administrator, that is not this desk. Hire those firms. Use Dual Ledger for the numbers they consume. Questions on a vehicle or a close date go to support@mokofund.com.
If you already like your administrator on books but still export a second pack for impact, you are paying for the split twice: once in the admin fee, and again in IR nights. The switch is worth it when LPs ask for both numbers in one PDF and your IR team is the glue. Dual Ledger holds both number sets to the calendar you already run. Book a scope call with a vehicle, a close date, and the scorecard you owe LPs. Send the last two packs to support@mokofund.com so we can show where the cutoffs diverged.
Ask your administrator who owns the cutoff. If the answer is two people in two systems, the pack will keep slipping. Dual Ledger is built so that question has one owner. The books and the scorecard share a period folder. Harbor should not need a second inbox to finish the story. Book the scope call. Send files to support@mokofund.com.
