The Work

Calls and Distributions

Notices LPs actually open: amount, due date, wiring facts, collection status, and the scorecard lines that are ready. No vacuum calls.

Capital call notice and Dual Ledger collection register on a desk

What belongs on the first screen

Amount. Due date. Wiring facts. Collection status. Scorecard lines that are ready. If those five are late, the rest of the letter will not get read. Dual Ledger writes that short file from the same close as NAV. Book a scope call with a vehicle and the next call date. Send the unfunded register to support@mokofund.com.

Q. Do we issue a call without the scorecard?

A. We will issue a call if the amount, due date, and unfunded are ready. We will not copy last quarter's units onto the notice to make it look complete. If occupancy, loans, or soil lines are not verified for this cutoff, they stay off the notice. LPs should not learn a change from a later appendix. They also should not wire on a stale table. Dual Ledger writes the notice from the same close file as NAV. You still sign it. We do not wire funds and we do not custody capital.

Q. Who signs, and who collects?

A. You sign. Collection status sits next to NAV share in Dual Ledger, not in a side spreadsheet IR updates at midnight. Portal, email, and optional SMS for opted-in contacts. SMS covers those account events only: call due, collected, distribution sent, pack available. It is not a marketing list. A late LP stays visible on the GP desk until the notice is settled or you instruct a different treatment.

More from the GP desk

Q. How is the notice sized?

A. From remaining unfunded and the investment schedule you approve. We draft. You sign. We do not pick a percentage to look busy. If the schedule is not ready, the notice waits. LPs should not see a number that will be walked back on the next call.

Q. What if an LP is late?

A. Collection stays on the Dual Ledger GP desk until settled or you instruct a different treatment. We do not chase with marketing copy. We record the status next to that LP's unfunded and NAV share so IR is not the glue.

Q. When do distributions ship?

A. Preferred return and return of capital notices go with the same LP pack when the period allows. Amount, source of proceeds, tax character if counsel has given it, and the scorecard lines that moved with the exit. Extra narrative belongs in the quarterly pack, not in the wire email. A distribution notice is not a press release and not tax advice.

Q. What is out of scope?

A. We do not wire LP capital, custody assets, give legal or tax advice, or originate impact figures. SMS, if you opt in, covers call due, collected, distribution sent, and pack available. Questions: support@mokofund.com.
