NAV working papers and Dual Ledger capital account files on a desk
The Work

NAV and Accounting

The accounting spine of Dual Ledger: cutoff, fair value roll-forward, capital accounts, and an audit-ready file. The scorecard still ships. It does not run this close.

Close checklist, before anyone posts

We will not start a NAV until this list is true. Trial balance received. Investment roll-forward tied to the prior close. Capital activity (calls, distributions, transfers) complete through cutoff. LP roster matches legal names on the last subscription files. Fair-value marks, if the vehicle uses them, sit in a named file with a date. Scorecard source files can arrive the same day. They do not delay books unless you ask us to hold the pack. If a line on this list is missing, we tell you on the close call. We do not invent a plug to look finished.

GP desk vs LP pack

The GP desk sees Dual Ledger exceptions: unreconciled cash, a capital account that will not roll, a mark without a file. LPs see none of that. They see NAV, NAV share, unfunded, and the verified scorecard lines that tied. Dual reporting still lives in the same send. This page is about the spine that makes that send honest. Without clean capital accounts, the outcome sheet is decoration, and we will say so on the scope call.

Who holds which number

GP desk

You own marks, investment facts, and the scorecard source files. You sign the close representation. You decide whether to hold the pack for a late tape. Moko does not mark the portfolio and does not originate occupancy, loan, or soil figures.

What LPs actually receive

NAV statement, capital account summary, unfunded, and the verified scorecard that closed on the same cutoff. They do not receive unmatched lines, internal checklists, or a second PDF from a later week. SMS alerts, if they opt in, cover NAV availability and capital events only.

Auditor trail

Working papers stay with the period: trial balance, roll-forward, capital activity, and the files behind each NAV line. An auditor can walk from the statement to the support without calling IR. This is not an audit opinion. It is the file an auditor can actually use.

Out of scope on this seat

We do not custody capital, wire LP money, give tax or legal advice, or sign the audit. Filing support is assembly of numbers counsel requests. Counsel files. Questions on a vehicle or a close date go to support@mokofund.com.

Close notes from the working papers

NAV fails in quiet ways: a transfer that never hit the register, a mark dated after cutoff, an LP legal name that does not match the roster. Dual Ledger is built so those failures surface on the GP desk before the pack is public. The verified scorecard still goes in the same send. If a scorecard file is late, we omit the line. We do not delay NAV unless you instruct us to hold. That is the accounting spine. Book a scope call with a vehicle and a close date. Send files to support@mokofund.com.

The period folder is the trail, not a second appendix
